All About my Body, my Height, and my Home

This Week we started learning about our BODY.

We reviewed that we love ourselves, love our friends, love Hashem, and love our families.

We reviewed our facial features (eye, nose, hair, etc.) and started to look at the other parts of our body. We learned that just like we are special and different from each other we also have something that are the same.

Morah taught us the Head, shoulders, knees and toes song and we enjoyed singing it.

Morah introduced us to SAMMY our class weather boy and together we labeled all of his body parts.

Morah also used play dough to form each body part as we
learned it.

Morah made his head
His body
His hair, eyes, nose, mouth and ears

Morah even taught us about our elbows. It helps us stretch our hand out and bend it.

Morah taught us that we have two legs and two feet
Our knees help us bend our legs and we have two knees.

After we finished making SAMMY's body Morah told us that inside our body we have a heart. We can feel our heat by putting our hand on our chest. A heart means love and we love ourselves, our friends, Hashem, our families, and our home.

Chaim Tal was wearing a doctor shirt and Morah showed us the stethoscope where doctors can listen to our heart
This Week we also learned that our bodies come in different sizes. Some are taller and some are shorter.
Morah measured each of us next to a big ruler and we got to see how tall we are.

We learned that some friends are the same height and other friends are different heights.

In the end we found that Ben and Noya are the tallest in our class.
Shira is the shortest in the class
Morah taught us that when we eat healthy foods we are going to grow big and strong just like grown ups (mommy's and Daddy's).
Morah also showed us that when we were born (as babies) we were very small and we already grew bigger and taller.

After learning so much about our body parts Morah introduced us to Mr. Potato head and his body parts.

We have lots of fun playing with him and his family at the
sensory table.
We love our home. We are special and we live in a special place with our family.
In our home we have different rooms and different things we do in each room.
Some homes are big and some homes are small, but no matter what we love our home and love the people that live there with us.
Morah taught us that in our home we have a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a living room. We all got our own homes and had to match where each item (like a couch, bed, table, and toilet) belong in each room.

We also enjoyed reviewing our feelings and ideas about what to do when we feel a certain way.
