THE CREATION OF THE WORLD

 This week we begin to learn how Hashem created the world in 6 days, and on the 7^th day he Rested. We were very busy all week working on our beautiful project on the creation of the world. 

Hashem made the world

Hashem made the world,

And everything there is,

He taught the little fish how to swim,

Hashem made the sun shining in the sky,

And taught the little birds to use their wings and fly.

That’s why we thank Hashem every single day,

For showing us His miracles,

In every little way.

 DAY ONE 
On the first day hashem separated the DARK (choshech) & LIGHT (oar).

 

Morah showed us a flashlight and we learned about Light and Shadows. 

 

 We went outside to see the light from the sun and traced our shadows with chalk. 

DAY TWO

Hashem separated the SKY (shamaim) is up, WATER (maim) is down.

 

We wondered what objects in our classroom SINK or FLOAT in water.  We all got to choose toys to see if it would SINK or FLOAT. 

DAY THREE

Hashem created DRY LAND (yebasha) for all the flower and trees to grow.
 

We learned all about the different parts of a plant and how they grow from a seed and need sunlight and water to help them.

We looked at the seeds

 We went outside to plant our own flowers in our garden

 We added beans, seeds, shovels, flowers, and flower pots to our sensory table

DAY FOUR

Hashem created the SUN (shemesh), the MOON, & STARS (yareach vekochavim).

We learned when the Sun comes up it's light and we wake up and when the moon comes up it's dark and night time. We played a game with the sun and the moon. When the moon is out we pretended to sleep but when the sun came up we woke up.

DAY FIVE

Hashem created BIRDS in the water & FISHES in the sky.

Another type of animal that flies in the sky is a butterfly. We started learning about the stages of a butterfly. We looked at different pictures and met our toy caterpillar. We also got a chance to enjoy watching our new classroom pet caterpillars grow and go into their cocoons. (We will continue learning about butterflies in the upcoming weeks)

DAY SIX
Hashem created ANIMALS (chayot) & PEOPLE (adam).

DAY SEVEN

Hashem had rested (Shabbat)
