On Monday, we learned the word "NEW"
We are in a new classroom, we have a new Morah Leah, Morah Rivky, and Morah Diana and we begin a new school year.
In our Jewish calendar We are going to welcome a NEW year and it begins with Chodesh Tishre. In Chodesh Tishre we celebrate four spacial holidays.
The first holiday is ROSH HASHANA.
In this holiday we celebrate the
begining of the Jewish New Year.
We ask Hashem to give us all a sweet and good New Year. The customs of Rosh Hashan is to eat lots of sweet foods like apples
dipped into honey, Challa with raisins, and carrots.
We all enjoyed dipping the apple in honey and it was so very yummy.
Morah then read us a book about the life of an Apple tree.
