In our Community is a Fire Station.
We learned that the Firefighters help us in our community.

Firefighter wear special clothing to help put out a fire and keep us from danger.

Fire fighters wear a fire hat that is hard and protect their head. They wear a fire jacket that is made of special material to protect them from the hot fire.
Some Fire Fighters clothing are red, some are black, and some are yellow.
Fighter fighter have a special tank on their back and a mask on their face to give them air so they don't have to breath in the smoke from the fire.
Fire Fighters also use a hose with water to put out the fire.
Fire Fighters can use an Ax to break down doors in case they are stuck so they can save us from the fire.
Morah showed us a fire Fighter picture and we all got to work coloring our very own fire Fighter.
We learned about the Fire Hydrant. Where Fire Fighters connect their hose so they can get water to spray out the fire. 
We wanted to see if water puts out fire so we did an experiment.

Morah Lit the candle and we used a spray bottle of water to spray it out.

We went for a walk looking for Fire Hydrants.

Morah's changed the Sensory Table. They put in yellow and red materials to look like fire. We pretend to be Fire Fighters and use scissors to cut up all the pieces of fire.
We learned that in our home and school we have a fire alarm in case of a fire and we have a fire extinguisher that is special stuff that can help us put out a fire.
We went looking for the fire alarms and Extinguishers in our school.
We worked together to make our Fire Station by putting on shape stickers on the black windows.
We learned that if we need help we call 911. All our nursery friends practiced calling 911 and then a fire fighter came and sprayed out the fire.
Morah taught us that the fire fighters drive a fire truck. She then showed us a big fire truck that we worked hard on decorating.
