Rectangle

This week we also learned about the shape Rectangle. 

We looked at pictures of our Sukkah and noticed it is the Shape Rectangle. 

Morah Rivky showed us that a Rectangle is almost like a square it has 4 corners and 4 lines. However, in a square all the lines are the same size and in a Rectangle their are 2 short lines and 2 long lines.

We used our hands to learn our two new vocabulary words : Short and Long.

Morah Rivky used blue tape to demonstate where the long lines go and where the short lines go on a Rectangle block.

Then she demonstrated how we can put the long lines and the short lines on our paper that we colored brown to make a Rectangle

 We all got a turn to use the tape and make our own Rectangles.

Morah Rivky showed us that a paper is a Rectangle too. It has 2 short lines and 2 long lines. 

 

 We all worked hard Decorating different colored Rectangle papers with stickers for our Rectangle Sukkah.

 We went to the hall to put up our Rectangle pictures on our Sukkah.

Our Rectangle Sukkah is looking beautiful but we still have a lot more work to do, to finish it.
