A RAINY DAY

A RAINY DAY

This week we learned all about the rainy days and windy days in the Fall season.

We learned that on a rainy day we need to wear a rain Jacket,
rain Boots, and we need an Umbrella.

We learned that rain boots are made from special RUBBER so our feet don't get wet. Thank you Daniella for letting us feel your Rain Boots.
Michelle can not play outside with FABRIC shoes her feet will get wet.
Even Morah Rivky can not play outside in her SUEDE boots her feet will also get wet.
We learned some new Hebrew words this week.
Rain is גשם (geshem) and Wind is  רוח (Ruach).
Morah Leah even taught us a song about geshem and a song bout ruach.

We changed the window in our dramatic play area to Fall.

On Tuesday we played a game to guess what is in our mystery box.
We all had so much fun guessing whose rain boots are whose and sorting our rain boots and jackets.

Morah Rivky's boots are BIG and Matthew's are SMALL

Matthew and Aaron had the SAME COLOR boots.
Morah Leah Showed us that when you spill some water on the boots the outside got wet and the inside stayed dry. We all got a chance to feel the wet outside and the dry inside.
Morah Leah Sang with us a Hebrew song about the rain and an English song about the rain as she showed us how we can splash in the puddles with our rain boots.
Morah Rivky taught us where the rain comes from: The Clouds. She showed us some ripped up cotton balls that we got to feel. It felt soft and fluffy.

Then Morah Rivky put the the cotton clouds in a bowl and poured some water on them. We watched as the water started raining out from the bottom of the bowl.

When we squeezed the clouds more water came raining down.
We used dot paint to color puppets on a rainy Day.
