This month we started talking about how "Big" we have grown over this whole year in the Nursery class. We talked about being so "Big" that it is almost time for us to go to a new bigger class called "Pre-k". Morah showed us a picture of a smiley face wearing a graduation hat and holding a diploma in his hand. We spoke about the word "Graduating" and talked about the day we are going to leave. We added the graduating smiley face to our calendar to show our graduation day to pre-K.
Everyday we counted down the days to graduation. We spoke about our feelings and that we can be very happy and excited but we also can be feeling a little sad about the big change.
We continued to talk about the word "Change" as we looked back at our butterfly poster we talked about how the butterfly changes from an egg, to a caterpillar, into a cacoon, and out as a beautiful butterfly. Morah asked us about how we think we "Changed" and we added the changing of us on the butterfly poster. We go from a baby, to a nursery friend, to a pre-K friend, to a bigger person.
We wanted to see the change for ourselves so we went to our height chart and questioned if we grew over he whole year. We were so surprised to see how "BIG" we got.
Since we are "Big" enough to go to Pre-K we decided to go visit the 2 Pre-K's we have in our school. We asked them "What do you learn in Pre-K?" We got many answers and were pleased to hear them. We also got to learn the names of the Pre-K teachers and introduced ourselves they were very excited to meet us.
We started talking about how many of our Nursery friends are going to Mazel Day School Pre-K but some of our Nursery friends are going to different school. Morah showed us the School buses and pictures of three schools (Mazel day School, Torah Vdas, and Derech HaTorah).
School bus 1,2, and 3 have Illiana, Aaron, Daniella, Dori, Shira, Noya, Ben, Dalia, Michelle, Nir, and Matthew and these buses are going to Mazel Day School Pre-k
School Bus 4 has Michael and he is going to Derech Hatorah Pre-k
School Bus 5 has Chaim Tal and he is going to Torah Vdas Pre-K
We will miss our Nursery Friends that are leaving and our Nursery Morahs. We had an amazing year and we hope to see you all at our Graduation on Thursday June 17th at 9:45am.
